This is a temp to hire position, full-time, on 1st shift. Will be cross trained in polishing and grinding department. Great opportunity to join a long lasting company that specializes in military products and aerospace applications.Responsibilities & Tasks1. To operate Laser welding equipment to produce aerospace components according to customer specifications while adhering to specific quality, production, & scheduling requirements.2. Proficient with laser welding equipment, welding techniques, welding principles & associated quality requirements.3. Loads & sets-up parts in fixture & operates the laser welder.4. Move welding machine controls, including flow meters, to adjust, start, or stop equipment during the weld process.5. Verify all equipment is identified and out of date calibration gauges are not used.6. Changes weld wire or powder & reset points as needed.7. Inspects finished weld & identifies defects.8. Uses inspection gauges on parts & runs 1st piece inspection of parts.9. Maintains perishable tools used in the work area & replaces or re-stocks as required.10. Able to pass an annual weld test for various base metal & configurations per MIL-STD-2219.11. Able to perform calibration of the laser-welding unit.12. Remove completed work-pieces from worktables & place work-pieces in containers maintaining job traceability & quantity.13. Record product & processing data on specified traveler.14. Repair & maintain equipment, objects, or parts using simple preventive maintenance measures.The pay is $13- per hour and we have a excellent benefits plan.Working hours
